The Bishops Palace
The Bishop’s Palace & Gardens have been home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years and this stunning medieval palace is open for all to enjoy.
For families, there is always lots to do, from family day events to exploring the gardens and the new interactive discovery area at the The Dragon’s Lair!
If you plan to visit The Bishop’s Palace more than three times in the next twelve months, then membership really is the best ‘value for money’ option for you - plus you are supporting the future of The Bishop’s Palace
If you would like to spend more time at The Bishop’s Palace and support the important work that they do, they are looking for new people to join their busy volunteer team. From gardening to guiding, or simply being around the Palace and Grounds to chat with visitors and answer their questions. From a few hours a month to a full-time internship - there is something for everyone. They offer an induction, ongoing training, travel expenses and social events. Contact Siobhan Goodwin, Volunteer Coordinator on 01749 988111 ext 202 to discuss
