Wells Good Afternoon Choir
Culture > Music and Literature
The Wells Good Afternoon Choir meets every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm - 4pm at The Seager Hall in Union Street, Wells. There is NO charge for attending the first rehearsal and membership information is available.
Grenville Jones is the Conductor and Sheila Ross is the accompanist. Grenville is one of the most recognised and experienced choir leaders in the UK. His celebrated Bath Male Choir hit the headlines on the BBC’s Last Choir Standing show and he is also the founder of The Golden-Oldies Charity. He has been interviewed on radio and TV across the world. You may have seen him in 2018 as one of the 100 judges on the popular ‘All Together Now’ BBC1 TV series. Grenville will appear on the show again soon with presenter Rob Beckett.
There are NO AUDITIONS and everyone is welcome to come along to any rehearsal. Many of the people in our Bath, Devizes, Keynsham, Bristol, Yate & Chipping Sodbury, Frome, Thornbury and Frome Good Afternoon Choirs have never sung in a choir before. Over 500 people now sing with us in the Afternoons! The Wells Good Afternoon Choir enjoys all sorts of music – from folk songs to choral favourites.
If you have any questions about the Choir please contact Nikki at Grenville's office in Westfield, Midsomer Norton for any information, by calling 01761 472468 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org - or just come along to our first free session with a friend of course!
