The Mendip Male Voice Choir has been entertaining audiences since 1919.
The 70-strong Choir always welcome new members to our Monday evening rehearsals.
We always welcome new members - contact us for more information.
Our current musical repertoire is selected by our Musical Director, usually falling into two seasons during the year: Summer and Winter.
Our Summer repertoire is entirely varied: including both sacred and secular. This enables a complete range of music to be selected and performed throughout the year at any occasion, often with concerts concluding with a joint piece involving all performers.
We also change focus for our Winter concerts, performing during November and December with festive repertoire.
No previous experience of singing in a choir is required, or even the ability to read music. The Mendip Male Voice Choir is an inclusive group, welcoming all male singers who will sing to the best of their ability.
You can sit and listen for your first visit, or join in the fun from the beginning! After an initial chat with the Musical Director, we have Section Leaders who will look after you.
An annual subscription covers most expenses: the choir performance uniform and sheet music. Payments can be spread over the year, or by a simple one-off payment.
The Choir has around 70 members and we regularly perform in and around the Mendip area, both raising money for charities or joining in with another choir's programme.
